Something new.

I began to realize how important it is to be an enthusiast in life. If you are interested in something, no matter what it is, go at full speed. Embrace it with both arms, hug it, love it, and above all become passionate about it. Lukewarm is no good. -Roald Dahl

Just wanted to quick say a few things that have been a change of pace and other things.

We have new feathered friends as of a month or two ago. The hope is that they supply us breakfast in another month or two. The first batch are Elvis, Maude, Winifred, Antonia, Pauline, and Paulette. The second batch are too young to tell yet whether they shall be roosters or hens, so they do not have names.

I recently installed AppBlocker on my handheld device because it was spending far too many hours held in hand. It has helped me tremendously to be more focused and productive, as well as less anxious! I would recommend to anyone who is struggling with the scrolling addiction. One thing that helped urge me into doing it, was a post I saw that put into perspective what two hours a day could be used for. That's 60 hours a month: time enough to read 13 books, cook at least 30 meals, it takes 20 hours to learn a new skill, etc. So, those things I don't have time for...? There isn't an excuse. Now I am much more intentional with what I use my phone for and what I choose to read or watch on it.

The days have been warming up mightily here in Central Cal. We had an unusually long, wet, cool spring, but it's summer now without a doubt and the growing things do pant after the waterbrooks. One is wise to do their outdoor work in the morning hours. Something I want to try this summer is dividing my yard and garden into work zones, and tackle one zone a day. Anyone want to join me for accountability? ;)

Last thing, I changed some things up on my site, and added a few buttons and such... I'd welcome you to look around and see if there's anything you'd be interested in. :)

Have a happy, sunny day! 🌞
