Fulfillment.
Heavenly.
Does not a Christian’s joy descend from that Glorified Home,
bestowed by the One on the Great throne?
And that Omnipotent One, in whose likeness we are,
has a perfect plan and purpose
for you, for me,
for this time, the time past, the time to be.
Look! Around you—
Don’t you see the mountains stately in their place?
A bouquet of new leaflets in a pretty blue vase?
The sun’s golden rays on an uplifted face?
Inhale deeply; the lawn was just cut and the scent floods your nose.
Fresh chocolate chip cookies cooling in rows—
The odor of soap on just-laundered clothes.
Hark! from the tree’s spire a bird
spills out her ecstatic song to the Spring.
The snap-crackle of wood fire—so delightful a thing.
A hearty “hello” heralds cheer on the wing.
Feel the warm soil beneath your feet
and cool currents caressing your perspiring brow.
A warm embrace proving constancy far beyond now.
Oh, so many small joys many pages could fill.
How can one describe the awesomeness of a vast night sky
showing pin-pricks of light from a place on High?
The magnificent display at the onset of dark
brilliantly painted across the west—
a plush fluffy pillow for your head rest—
a cup of tea,
a hand to hold,
something new to learn,
a book that's old—
For a moment allow your wandering mind
to wonder at the blessings you find
are yours.
Gifts from a Giver compassionate, kind.
There's no end
of heavenly hours you'll spend
when you spend them recognizing good
that is only made possible by One who would
leave a better place above
so that He could teach us how to Love
all that He created—
all that He is—
all that He fulfills in us.
Love this❤️
Thanks Sara.❤️
